November 11, 2025 – Aurora over Sevierville
The day doesn’t just end; it dissolves into a profound blue hour, the world poised in a moment of transformation. Below, the solid, earthy grace of horses, their silhouettes a timeless anchor against the fading light. Above, the sky is a canvas of roiling, dramatic clouds, a final act of terrestrial turmoil before the heavens clear, revealing an infinite, piercing clarity. One by one, the first stars emerge like ancient embers, soon joined by the fleeting, modern comets of air traffic. And then, as if summoned by the date itself, the sky begins to dance—the sacred, silent fire of an unexpected aurora, washing over Sevierville in a wave of celestial wonder and cosmic energy.

November 12, 2025 – Aurora Chasing At Ober Mountain
After seeing the video from Ober Mountain from Nov 11th, we made a call and got permission to photograph. This night I learned that if a CME magnetic field aligns with Earth’s magnetic field, you don’t get spectacular aurora. Still a worthwhile time. The first one is a wide angle looking east.
This one is facing north.
Didn’t really process this one, but looking east with the sunsetting.
November 12, 2025 – Meteor & Star Trails over Gatlinburg
I try to capture meteors I get aurora’s and vice versa. This one shot made the trip worth it.

Since I was shooting timelapse, I decided to process the star trails. Lots of air traffic over Sevier County. THis is looking North.
